RESUMEN
El job crafting ha sido un tema que se ha estudiado desde la década de las 70 y su evolución se ha visualizado en el transcurso del tiempo con el surgimiento de investigaciones que han contribuido a la constitución de un marco teórico sólido, versátil y pertinente, el cual se encuentra en constante crecimiento. Su evolución ha sido tal que se ha estudiado en diversos contextos y sectores a nivel mundial bajo una variedad de perspectivas teóricas. Tomando en consideración lo anterior, esta investigación plantea el objetivo de analizar el concepto, evolución y teorías que sustentan el job crafting, para proporcionar un marco de referencia con respecto su evolución y estudio. El diseño metodológico de esta investigación se desarrolla a partir de un enfoque cualitativo y un análisis documental a través de la revisión de artículos académicos provenientes de diversas fuentes. Los resultados obtenidos indican que el campo de estudio del job crafting es amplio, versátil y está en constante evolución.

Abstract
Job crafting has been studied since the 70’s and its evolution has been seen with the passage to time and the emergence of new research that has contributed to the creation of a solid, versatile and pertinent theoretical framework, which is constantly growing. Its evolution has been such that has been studied under diverse contexts, sectors and theoretical perspectives worldwide. Considering the previously stated, the aim of the present study is to analyze the definition, evolution and theory surrounding the job crafting to provide a reference framework about the evolution and study of job crafting. The methodology design is developed through a qualitative approach and a documentary analysis performed by revising academic articles from different sources. Findings show that the job crafting field is wide, versatile and constantly evolving.
