RESUMEN
Abstract
This paper presents the first phase in the design and implementation of the bilingual digital platform Nenek-World, aimed at supporting the preservation of the Tenek language and strengthening traditional agro-industrial knowledge in indigenous communities of the Huasteca Potosina region. An interactive web prototype was developed integrating content in Tenek and Spanish, focused on learning cultivation practices, product processing, and commercialization strategies. A mixed-methods approach was applied, including semi-structured interviews, community surveys, and usability testing to assess the platform’s acceptance, functionality, and cultural relevance. The system design emphasized accessibility, ease of use, and operation in low-connectivity environments through downloadable resources. Preliminary findings show positive user acceptance and a strong interest in incorporating the Tenek language into technological tools for educational and productive purposes. This phase provides the technological and cultural foundation for future expansion, including new modules and interactive resources, positioning the platform as a promising initiative for sustainable development, productive autonomy, and linguistic revitalization in the region.
