RESUMEN

El deterioro en el bienestar de Guerrero se ha convertido también en un blanco de alerta para otros países quienes incluso han sugerido a sus nacionales no viajar a México. México quiere reconquistar al turismo extranjero con sus playas y sitios arqueológicos, sin embargo, la imagen del país se ha deteriorado paulatinamente por la violencia desatada por la guerra contra el narcotráfico y los constantes movimientos sociales. La presente investigación aborda las consecuencias económicas que ha traído la situación social de Acapulco a la actividad turística propia del municipio. Para ello es fundamental contrastar el peso de la actividad turística en el municipio con la inestabilidad social por la que ha atravesado en los últimos años.

SOCIAL CONFLICTS AND THEIR ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THE TOURIST ACTIVITY OF ACAPULCO, GUERRERO

ABSTRACT
The deterioration in the welfare of Guerrero is accompanied by low economic growth and stagnant productivity, caused mainly by the commitment to tourism and violence in the state. This of course has also become a warning target for other countries who have even suggested to their nationals not to travel to Mexico. Mexico wants to reconquer foreign tourism with its beaches and archaeological sites, however, the country's image has gradually deteriorated due to the violence unleashed by the war against drug trafficking and the constant social movements. This research addresses the economic consequences that the social situation of Acapulco has brought to the tourist activity of the municipality. For this, it is essential to contrast the weight of tourist activity in the municipality with the social instability it has experienced in recent years.
