INTERVENCIÓN PSICOEDUCATIVA PARA LA PREVENCIÓN SECUNDARIA EN PACIENTES CON INTENTO SUICIDA PREVIO

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio de intervención de carácter cuasi experimental a los pacientes diagnosticados con intento suicida perteneciente al área de salud del Policlínico del municipio de Calixto García,  en el periodo comprendido entre enero del 2017 hasta mayo del 2018 con el objetivo de implementar una intervención psicoeducativa en los pacientes con intento suicida y valorar la respuesta a la intervención psicoeducativa después de su aplicación. Se trabajó con un universo de 60 pacientes y una muestra de 45 pacientes. Asimismo, se detectaron que los diagnósticos psiquiátricos presentes en estos pacientes fueron, entre los más frecuentes los trastornos afectivos depresivos para un 57, 5%, trastornos de personalidad para un 22,5% y el alcoholismo para un 20%; y los trastornos duales para un 11,1%. La letalidad del método y la severidad de la intención tuvieron una evaluación media. A partir del estudio se diseñó y se aplicó una intervención psicoeducativa siendo significativo la modificación de la sintomatología de los diagnósticos psiquiátricos después de aplicada la intervención, los resultados fueron significativos elevando la calidad de vida de estos pacientes y la prevención de un segundo intento.

PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION FOR SECONDARY PREVENTION IN PATIENTS WITH A PREVIOUS SUICIDAL ATTEMPT

ABSTRACT

A study of intervention of quasi experimental character carried out to the patients diagnosed with suicide intent belonging to the area of health of the policlinic of the municipality Calixto García, in the period among January of the 2017 until May of the 2018 with the objective of implementing a psych -educative intervention in patients with intent commits suicide and to value the answer to the psych -educative intervention after its application. The researcher worked with a universe of 60 patients and a sample of 45 patients. and detected that the psychiatric diagnoses present in these patients were, among the most frequent the depressive affective dysfunctions for a 57, 5%, dysfunctions of personality for 22,5% and the alcoholism for 20%; and the dual dysfunctions for 11,1%. The psych medications ingestion was the method that more impacted in both goods; the lethality of the method and the severity of the intention had a half evaluation. Starting from the study was designed and an intervention psycho- educative was applied being significant the modification of symptoms of the psychiatric diagnoses after having applied the intervention, the results were significant elevating the quality of these patients' life and the prevention of a second intent.
