RESUMEN
Con base a la investigación y el análisis, enfocado en el sistema de control interno en las pequeñas y medianas empresas (PyMEs) de la zona metropolitana del Valle de Toluca, así como los procedimientos y actividades que, emprendedores y administradores deben mantener bajo control, para disminuir el riesgo en la entidad. A partir del análisis de la información obtenida mediante el instrumento realizado, se pueden tomar decisiones de carácter directivo para su corrección y prevención, teniendo como consecuencia una mejor gestión del negocio, enfocada a la administración estratégica, aumentando la esperanza de vida de la entidad económica.

ABSTRACT
The content of the article exposes through the investigation and analysis of the internal control system in the small business of the Metropolitan Area of the Toluca Valley, the procedures and activities that owners and administrators must keep under control to reduce the risk of closure using the strategic management. From the analysis of the information obtained through the surveys carried out, directive decisions can be made for their correction and prevention, this will result in better business management focused on development in all areas in accordance with the previously planned objectives and established to increase the life expectancy of the economic entity.
