RESUMEN

El empoderamiento de la mujer ha crecido con el paso del tiempo desde que se realizaron los primeros movimientos sociales por la lucha de la igualdad de género, logrando poco a poco que sean reconocidos sus derechos y su participación en diferentes ámbitos laborales; en este sentido el sector salud no ha sido la excepción, por lo que es cada día más común ver a mujeres incursionar en actividades profesionales que tienen que ver con la ciencia y la salud. Los logros de muchas mujeres y el reconocimiento de su valiosa y activa participación se han hecho evidentes, así como el respeto hacia el papel que desempeñan tanto en lo familiar, lo académico, como en la investigación y en lo profesional. En este contexto comparto la historia de vida y emprendimiento de una mujer mexicana, inquieta, deportista, sensible, comprometida y de un gran corazón quien, tras equivocarse en la ruta que había elegido, decidió cambiar y seguir una pasión y los latidos del corazón.

ABSTRACT

The empowerment of women has grown over time since the first social movements for the fight for gender equality were carried out, gradually achieving that their rights and their participation in different labor spheres are recognized: In this sense, the health sector has not been the exception, which is why it is increasingly common to see women dabble in professional activities that have to do with science and health. The achievements of many women and the recognition of their valuable and active participation have become evident, as well as the respect for the role they play both in the family, academically, as well as in research and professionally. In this context I share the life and entrepreneurship story of a Mexican woman, restless, athletic, sensitive, committed and with a big heart who, after making a mistake in the route she had chosen, decided to change and follow a passion and heartbeat.
