RESUMEN
El siguiente ensayo propone una reflexión social y antropológica sobre la fotografía como un nuevo medio de reproducción visual. El ensayo parte del estudio de las imágenes, su poder y su relación con el ser humano (los retratos), hasta comprender las distintas emociones y sensaciones que éstas provocan en él: el miedo, la percepción del “yo” y la sustracción del alma fotografiada. Del mismo modo, se propone una comparación entre la recepción pictórica y fotográfica, al ser dos artes contrarias a la vez que semejantes.

A SOCIOLOGICAL LOOK AT THE EARLY DAYS OF PHOTOGRAPHY
ABSTRACT
The next essay proposes a social and anthropological reflection on photography as a new means of visual reproduction. The research starts from the study of images, their power and their relationship with the human being (portraits), until understanding the different emotions and sensations that they provoke in him: fear, the perception of the “I” and the subtraction of the soul photographed. In the same way, a comparison is proposed between pictorial and photographic reception, as they are two opposite arts as well as similar.
