Resumen

En el presente trabajo se tratan aspectos conceptuales sobre el desarrollo, el desarrollo humano y el desarrollo territorial en Cuba, además se actualiza las principales etapas del desarrollo territorial, destacándose la segunda como la que sentó las bases para un desarrollo más acelerado y completo en la isla; en la tercera etapa se realiza un análisis hasta el año 2006 y seguidamente analizan todos los territorios del país con sus correspondientes municipios; posteriormente se calcula el Índice de Desarrollo Humano para cada territorio que conforman el país, clasificándose los mismo en territorios con niveles bajos, medios y altos de desarrollo; este índice se calculó a partir de seis indicadores que los autores consideran que tienen incidencia directa en el Desarrollo Humano; para el cálculo de este Índice de Desarrollo Humano Territorial a diferencia de otros se emplearon indicadores que corresponden a cada año analizado; los datos utilizados comprende una serie de 21 años en forma consecutiva, es decir desde 1985 hasta el 2005; serie que nunca antes ha sido tratada.

In the present work conceptual aspects treat on the development, the human development and the territorial development in Cuba, in addition it updates the main stages of the territorial development, standing out the second like which it laid the foundations for an accelerated development more and complete one in the island; in the third stage an analysis is made until year 2006 and next they analyze all the territories of the country with its corresponding municipalities; later the Index of Human Development for each territory calculates that conforms the country, classifying itself the same one in territories with low, average and high levels of development; this index calculated from six indicators that the authors consider that they have direct incidence in the Human Development; for the calculation of this Index of Territorial Human Development unlike others indicators were used that correspond to every analyzed year; the used data include/understand a series of 21 years in consecutive form, that is to say, from 1985 to the 2005; series that never before has been treated.
