Resumen

El libro Historia del Turismo de Miguel Khatchikian se configura como una de las obras clásicas en el abordaje histórico y económico del ocio, el hospedaje y posteriormente el turismo. No obstante, el tratamiento que el autor realiza sobre el Imperio Romano exige un nuevo análisis a la luz de la evidencia empírica y otros trabajos en el tema.

Abstract

The book History of Tourism written by Miguel Khatchikian is configured as one of the most important classic works in the historical treating by the leisure, the lodging and tourism. Nevertheless, his work carried out on the Roman Empire demands a new analysis by the light of the empiric evidence and other works in the matter.
