William Henry Beveridge ( 1879-1963 )

Sir William Henry Beveridge, Barón de Tuggal fue un economista inglés nacido en Rangpur, Bangladesh.

 Alumno de Charterhouse y del Balliol College (Oxford), se interesó por las Ciencias Sociales y, en particular por los problemas del paro. Desempeñó los cargos de subsecretario de la Cámara de Comercio (1908-16), director de la Escuela de Economía y Ciencia Política de Londres (1919-37), decano del University College, Oxford (1937-45) y miembro del Parlamento por el Partido Liberal (1944-45).
